“ Outside eating at it’s finest! An indoor area to dine if that is your preference or outdoor enclosed spaces for a more private dining experience. The food was fantastic and since we were the only customers we received excellent attention. I would highly recommend the Truffle burger. Very tasty. ”
“ Cute quiet nook in town after a wonderful day of sight seeing. Impeccable service with a smile and delicious food. ”
“ The service was great and the outdoor dining area was lovely. We got the grilled chicken sandwich and the airline chicken with pistachio risotto and the yucca chips as an appetizer. Everything was delicious! If you're in Tupper Lake and looking for a small family owned restaurant that knows how to cook, visit this place! ”
“ We decided to take a drive from VT over to the Adirondacks and while we waited for the Ferry in Charlotte, we Googled where to eat lunch in the Saranac/Tupper Lake area. What a GEM we found in Amado! We took the time to read their story on the website and perused the menu, eager for a good meal. When we finally arrived, a bit later than expected, we were delighted to be greeted by Lilian, only to realize that we had the whole place to ourselves! BONUS! Now we had the pleasure of enjoying amazing food and a chance to chit-chat with her. The Truffle & Parm tots are a must! I enjoyed the Onion & Ale soup while Paul had the Black Bean Burger. And of course, we had to try one, well, let's be honest...TWO of Lilian's amazing cocktails, the O'Santo. What a charming place, we will definitely be back in the summertime when we can spend more time in this beautiful part of the Adirondacks. ”
“ Celebrated Mom's bday here on a whim. How lucky did we get. Love the vibes and the food was remarkable and memorable. There was a lot of standard fare but the Brazilian food I had to ask what it was, was the star. So happy I took a chance and didn't order the same ol same ol. ”
“ After two failed attempts to find a place to eat we ended up at Amado. We were not disappointed. We had small children, someone vegan, and big appetites. No one was less than satisfied. We had burgers and fries and chicken fingers, calamari, Yuka, mussels, chocolate cake... My husband proclaims he’d make the 2.5 hour trip again just to eat there. If you are looking for vegan options there are a few. ”
“ First time anywhere close to Adirondacks, as I'm in the beginning stages of my nationwide roadtrip, and I stumbled across this place, Amado. Had a great looking atmosphere, the outdoor experience was neat! I saw in the building, but it still felt as if I were outdoors and that was wonderful. I ordered the Wild Boar Sausage Pizza and it was pretty tasty! Highly recommend this place to any newcomer to Tupper Lake! For a fusion style restaurant, their prices are fair! “ There aren't enough quality places that serve a broad selection of dinner options, but Amado does. Our town is fortunate to have this restaurant. The menu is quite extensive, the bar is fully stocked, there's plenty of room for a quiet nook, a family table, larger groups, and even private spaces for your dining experience. The staff is friendly and willing to help you enjoy your meal. Make a date and give support to one of our local businesses. Enjoy your meal and then take a stroll by the water to walk it off ”
